Global warming emergence

C by the year 2100 have been predicted on the basis of revisions of various models (earlier versions predicted a 1.5 to 4.5 °C increase by the mid-twentyfirst century). At the time of writing (1996), an international consensus is emerging to the effect that global warming is indeed occurring, and that it is probably correlated with the atmospheric CO2 concentration.

As government was at last bringing under control the pollution of air, water, and earth, there emerged yet another environmental problem, one that might dwarf others in its worldwide effects. This was the threat that the growth of industrial civilization would lead to global warming. 

The oil crisis and global warming are the major threats to the sustainable developments of our society. Biofuels are emerging as a promising solution to overcome the barriers. However, now the biofuels are mainly produced from edible materials so that the shortage of the raw materials should be encountered in near future as the implementation of biofuels is getting more active.
