Generic Containership

Containerships follow the general pattern that all internationally trading cargo ships do, but they differentiate in various aspects, of which, the primary ones appear to be as follows  

Containerships are generally fitted with thrusters (bow and/or stem) and in several cases active rodders. This coupled by the advanced hydrostatic features (i.e. block coefficient) of these vessels, results in a high level of manoeuvrability at all speed levels. High speeds, nevertheless, tend to reduce the time available for reaction by operators, adversely affecting the human reliability in close quarters situations.
