General Characteristics of Ion-Exchange Resins

In the case of cationic resins, the polymeric networks are generally attached to the following groups [4,6,23] -S03, -COO ,-P03 , and in some cases, -As()3 on the other hand, in the case of anionic resins, the attached groups are -NH3,=NH2,=N+, and in some cases = S+.
