General Assembly Opinion

The United Nations takes note of Article XIV, paragraph 5, of the Convention, which empowers the Conference of the States Parties or the Executive Coimcil of the OPCW, subject to authorisation from the General Assembly of the United Nations, to request the International Court of Justice to give an advisory opinion on any legal question(s) arising from within the scope of activities of the OPCW, apart from any question(s) concerning the mutual relationship between the OPCW and the United Nations. 

The United Nations and the OPCW agree that each such request for an advisory opinion shall first be submitted to the General Assembly, which will decide upon the request in accordance with Article 96 of the Charter. 

Second, the Court focused on the identity of the authors of the Kosovar declaration of independence. The Court noted that while the question posed by the General Assembly referred to the provisional institutions of self-government of Kosovo, Serbia when it sponsored the relevant General Assembly resolution asking the ICJ for an advisory opinion referred instead to Kosovo . According to the Court, the identity of the authors of the declaration of independence matters for the resolution of the legal question involved. ... 

In a general way, recent market research tends to highlight the opinion that large groups of normal people (age 30-65) are not well disposed towards assembled foods. The European situation has been discussed with concern over active packages. A particular case study has been verified in Italy some year ago. After the discovery of a food scandal, the main networks have proposed radio and TV commercials related to different brands or food types. These messages were to assure the consumer about the substantial difference between farm-made and assembled foods.
