GASP program

In a recent review the pharmacophore identification programs Catalyst, DISCO, and GASP have been compared [83]. 

Unlike other pharmacophore identification routines, the conformational search is performed on-the-fly in GASP and represents an integral part of the program. Each compound is input a single, low-energy conformation and random rotations and translations are applied in order to explore the conformational variation prior to superposition.

Figure 10.22 was produced with a computer program based on the relationships for the program GASP indicated in [15]. The calculations provide for the spread of the pool and the resulting growth of the area of heat transfer.
