This chapter discusses the problem of Human Immunosuppressive Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS) in relation to drug abusers and how the risks of infection in this group can be reduced. It deals with how to counsel people before and after an antibody test, and looks at the working environment and the future prospects for drug agencies. 

Thee future prospects for naked DNA gene therapy include clinical trials for genetic diseases (e.g., Duchenne muscular dystrophy, ischemia, hemophilia), which would be initiated in the next few years, and tail vein injections in rodents, which will become a widely used technique for rapidly testing expression vectors/gene therapy approaches (101). 

The restenosis benefit is also intriguing, but, in all likelihood, has nothing to do with the antiplatelet actions of cilostazol, and may relate more to its effects on cytokine release from endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells, There is also preliminary evidence suggesting that cilostazol may speed the process of endothelialization (53). Again, with DES and their well-documented difficulties with endothelialization (54,55), this is a potentially very important future application that will require prospective testing in clinical trials. 

In this chapter we have tried to give an introduction to most of the mathematical methods that have been used for the construction, investigation and reduction of combustion mechanisms. In terms of application, these methods differ very much in their present state and future prospects. Some have become well established techniques, and consequently are likely to be widely applied in the future. Others have only been introduced over the last few years, and although they have proven successful on a few test systems, they have yet to prove themselves on a wide range of applications.

The AQS architecture provides clear system responsibility as a complete standalone device, so the manufacturer is responsible for the complete system and test runs. AQS comes with excellent future prospects, since potential further developments can be integrated without any problems due to the unchanged interface once chosen, and compatibility with older releases is secured. The system configuration allows great savings in the ECC. 

Future Prospects. When the above procedure from Step 1 to Step 3 was done for the sequence segment from residue 150 to residue 210 of the sequence of tobacco ALS, our system gave us a list of 33 compounds as test compounds (Table II). The compounds listed are substrates, cofactors, and products, but only one inhibitor (dllsopropyl fluorophosphate), because only a few inhibitors have been registered In the Enzyme-Reacton database. When the number of Inhibitors Increases In the database, this system will become a practical one for drug design. 

The ideal chemotherapeutic agent for transcatheter treatment of primary and metastatic liver cancer is yet to be developed. This agent should combine effectiveness against the tumor and reduced toxicity to the normal or cirrhotic liver. In the near future, some of the above novel drugs are expected to enter the clinical arena and be prospectively tested, whereas some of the currently used chemotherapeutic agents such as doxorubicin, cisplatin and mitomycin C are expected to be tested in a more systematic and prospective way.
