A training plan should be developed to identify the needs of the staff and affected functional areas required to support the successful implementation of a QMS. It is the responsibility of the corporation to adequately support staff with training and tools when staff is expected to take on new roles, responsibilities, or behaviors. The training plan should consist of targeted training for general staff, process owners, and functional management of the process owners. 

More in-depth behavioral tests are required if dose-related toxicant effects are noted in screening tests. These tests may also be required as part of more selective toxicological screening, such as for developmental neurotoxicity. Focused tests of neuromotor function and activity, sensory functions, memory, attention, and motivation help to identify sites of toxicant-mediated lesioning, aid in the classification of neurotoxicants, and may suggest mechanisms of action. Some of these tests, like the schedule-controlled operant behavior tests for cognitive function, require animal training and extensive operator interaction with the animals. 

Experience and training is required to relate this knowledge to meeting the product needs. This book is loaded with extensive data on the behavior of plastics as a function of temperature and other factors.
