Fuller, Major-General

Fuller, Major General J.F.C., On Future Warfare (London Sifton Praed, 1928). [Pg.260]

Major General J. F. C. Fuller, assigned to the Italian army, highlighted the Italian use of mustard agent to protect the flanks of columns by denying ridge lines and other key areas to the Ethiopians. He concluded ... [Pg.35]

In an evaluation of the war in Ethiopia, Major General Sir Henry F. Thuiller, former director of the AUied Gas Services in World War I, and J. F. C. Fuller, the English military theorist, agreed that mustard was an effective tool used by Italy to achieve quick victory. Furthermore,... [Pg.153]

We begin with a brief and mathematieally light-handed treatment of the fundamentals of QM necessary to describe organic molecules. This presentation is meant to acquaint those unfamiliar with the field of computational chemistry with a general understanding of the major methods, concepts, and acronyms. Sufficient depth will be provided so that one can understand why certain methods work well while others may fail when applied to various chemical problems, allowing the casual reader to be able to understand most of any applied computational chemistry paper in the literature. Those seeking more depth and details, particularly more derivations and a fuller mathematical treatment, should consult any of the... [Pg.1]

The principal aspects may be divided into two major areas — structural, concentrating on the sites of binding, both in solution and in the solid state, and reactivity, which means how metal binding affects the chemistry of the purine or pyrimidine moiety. These interests are of course generally relevant for all metal systems in terms of the same effects as are summarized in Table l.I, and an extensive literature exists. The emphasis here will be on studies related to the metal complexes of chemotherapeutic interest. Therefore, other relevant studies and structures will be mentioned in this context although fuller details may be obtained in particular from the cited review references. [Pg.95]
