Hsp70 proteins with their co-chaperones and cooperating chaperones thus constitute a complex network of folding machines. This chapter describes the molecular basis of this network. Particular emphasis is given to the DnaK system of Escherichia coli as it is the best understood Hsp70 system, and to the mechanistic differences between Hsp70 family members. [Pg.2]

For simple bends in thin material, bending can be carried out in a vice. For bends in thicker material with a specific bend radius, folding machines give greater accuracy with less effort. [Pg.59]

Under what circumstances would it be more appropriate to use a folding machine rather than a vice when bending sheet metal ... [Pg.64]

Folding machine n. A machine that folds sheet plastics such as cellulose acetate into shapes such as identification-card envelopes, sheets for ring binders, visible indexes, and the like. An electrically heated blade softens the plastic and folds it into a tight, 180° crease. [Pg.429]

After all solids are mixed, the powder mixture is divided over the dose units. For single-dose powders this is done by weighing the powders individually on waxed powder papers. Each paper is folded. Powder filling and folding machines are no longer used in most countries. Packets (papers) should be checked to see that they are uniform in weight. [Pg.66]

Folding machines, Fig. 4.8, are used with larger work of thicker gauges and for folding box sections. The top clamping beam is adjustable... [Pg.57]
