Filling pattern method

The profile of the flow front can be optimized in such a way by varying the wallthicknesses, that air entrapment is eliminated. Figure 8-4 shows the flow-front profile, as established by computerized filling simulation, based on a filling pattern method. This could also be produced manually, with a pair of compasses and a ruler. [Pg.93]

Although this filling pattern conveys a lot of information, it is bulky. A shorthand method for giving the same information has been developed—the electronic configuration. [Pg.50]

A key benefit of accurate CMP models that needs emphasis is the capability to optimize layout design before polishing. Post-CMP ILD thickness variation is a serious concern from both functionality and reliability concerns. An effective method of minimizing this effect is the use of dummy fill patterns that lead to a more equitable pattern density distribution across the chip. Evaluation of such schemes before actual product implementation has become a major use of CMP modeling [53]. Dummy fill is also being investigated for front-end processes where shallow trench isolation CMP suffers from substantial pattern dependencies. [Pg.125]

FIGURE 1.1 A proliferation of mobility methods occurred during the past decade, ranging over dimensions, pressnres, and arrangements of electric field (constant or time dependent). Pressure of measurements is given in the fill pattern of boxes for individual methods. [Pg.2]

For a simple geometry the flow pattern method describes the flow direction in the filling phase as well as the holding phase (see Fig. 5-90). [Pg.397]

Shortcomings of Wang s method like limited pitch of the spiral and blurring in the vertical direction can be improved by the CFBP-algorithm [10], where gaps in the spiral sampling pattern are filled using X-rays measured from the opposite side. [Pg.494]

German guidelines base the division on the resulting airflow pattern within the room rather than distribution methods. They suggest that airflow patterns be divided into four categories hall-filling mixed flow zonewise mixed flow low-momentum, low-turbulence flow for the air supply in the work region and zonewise displacement ventilation. [Pg.629]

Taking into account all the various stipulations, we shall still assume that yield stress has a certain physical meaning and it can be measured by a stationary method proceeding from the flow curve. However, to measure the points and achieve such a clear pattern as shown in Fig. 1 is not always convenient and it is rather labor-consuming. In practice, it is convenient to use a semi-analytical procedure. It is based on the utilization of an equation for flow curves taking into account the existence of yield stress. The most widespread equation of this kind is the Casson equation. It assumes that the x(y) dependence for filled polymers is expressed in the following way ... [Pg.74]

Three-dimensional electrode arrays have been fabricated using two very different micromachining methods. One approach, named carbon MEMS or C-MEMS, is based on the pyrolysis of photoresists. The use of photoresist as the precursor material is a key consideration, since photolithography can be used to pattern these materials into appropriate structures. The second approach involves the micromachining of silicon molds that are then filled with electrode material. Construction of both anode and cathode electrode arrays has been demonstrated using these microfabrication methods. [Pg.244]
