Field plot technique

Field Plot Technique. Herbicide treatments were made to plots measuring 3.1 to 6.1 by 13.2 to 18.3 m arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Herbicides were applied with tractor-mounted compressed air or C0 backpack sprayers delivering 187 to 280 L/ha at 139 to 207 kPa. Herbicides were uniformly mixed with the top 8 to 10 cm of soil with 2 pass incorporation. [Pg.224]

The analyses of the II-NMR data with the crystal-field independent technique (eq. (51)) display straight lines for plots of 5 ara/(5 z) - vs / Sz)j in complete agreement with isostructurality along the complete lanthanide series and no significant change of the G factors (fig. 24). [Pg.398]

Plots of S /(Sz)j vs Cj/(Sz)j (eq. (48)) and S /Cj vs (Sz)j/Cj (eq. (49)) using crystal-field dependent techniques show systematic abrupt breaks near the middle of the lanthanide series (between R = Eu and R = Tb) which imply a concomitant change of the contact Fi and pseudo-contact BqG terms (table 10, fig. 25). Since G is essentially invariant, an abrupt variation of the crystal-field parameter Bq is required to rationalize the NMR data. [Pg.398]

The application of the two-nuclei crystal-field independent technique and the three-nuclei method provide convincing evidence for the proposed structural subdivision of the [R(L8-3H)(H20),] complexes (Geraldes et al., 2003). All the plots of 8 A/(S-), vs 8pkfa/ Sz)j... [Pg.411]

Knowledge of the relative role of vaporization in pesticide field dissipation has been markedly advanced by development of methods for measuring the vertical flux of vapors from a soil or soil-crop field plot. The basis and techniques for this method have been presented by Caro et al.(74) and Parmele et al. (7), and summarized recently by Taylor (6). The equation... [Pg.190]

Vector quantities, such as a magnetic field or the gradient of electron density, can be plotted as a series of arrows. Another technique is to create an animation showing how the path is followed by a hypothetical test particle. A third technique is to show flow lines, which are the path of steepest descent starting from one point. The flow lines from the bond critical points are used to partition regions of the molecule in the AIM population analysis scheme. [Pg.117]

The basic features of an epr spectrometer are shown in Figure 2.95. The microwave source is a Klystron tube that emits radiation of frequency determined by the voltage across the tube. Magnetic fields of 0.1 — 1 T can be routinely obtained without complicated equipment and are generated by an electromagnet. The field is usually modulated at a frequency of 100kHz and the corresponding in-phase component of the absorption monitored via a phase-sensitive lock-in detector. This minimises noise and enhances the sensitivity of the technique. It is responsible for the distinctive derivative nature of epr spectra. Thus, the spectrum is obtained as a plot of dA/dB vs. [Pg.191]

The two different techniques for mass production of entomopathogenic nematodes are (i) in vivo, and (ii) in vitro. Production of entomopathogenic nematodes depend upon the area to be applied as well as the type of nematode species used. If a small plot is to be applied as for research purpose, the in vivo production technique would be appropriate, otherwise for fields in vitro methods are used. [Pg.356]
