Increased gas flows sometimes overcome the problem however, improved feeding techniques or a change in operating conditions may be required. Another solution is to remove agglomerates either continuously or periodicaUy from the bottom of the bed. 

Metoclopramide is the drug of choice for enhancement of lactation when improved feeding technique fails to increase milk flow48 (Table 44-5). Metoclopramide exerts its effect through dopamine antagonism. Increases in milk production should be noted within 2 to 5 days of metoclopramide initiation. Monitor patients for extrapyrimidal symptoms. 

All the foregoing pertains to solids of approximately the same physical characteristics. There is evidence that solids of widely different characteristics will classify one from the other at certain gas flow rates [Geldart, Baeyens, Pope, and van de Wijer, Powder Technol., 30(2), 195 (1981)]. Two fluidized beds, one on top of the other, may be formed, or a lower static bed with a fluidized bed above may result. The latter frequently occurs when agglomeration takes place because of either fusion in the bed or poor dispersion of sticky feed solids. The sodium sulfite feed technique has been proposed for measuring the absorption rate in large tanks (fermenters) [228]. 1 x 10 mol/1 of COSO4 as catalyst was added to the test liquid and during aeration a 0.1-0.3 M sodium sulfite solution was continuously fed in. A separate melter, particularly a ceramic one, is more flexible with respect to the feeding technique than a canister, mainly because of its greater surface. Furthermore, a continuous melter leaves the option either to fill a canister with the molten glass or to be coupled to a ass-shape forming device. The spirolides were even less toxic when administered to mice as a mixture with food.
