Excess dietary selenium has to be avoided because of its potential toxicity at high levels in the diet and the various feed regulations are designed to prevent this occurrence. 

Wheat shorts consist of fine particles of wheat bran, wheat germ, wheat flour and the offal from the tail of the mill. This product must be obtained in the usual process of commercial milling and must contain not more than 70g/kg CF IFN 4-05-201 Wheat flour by-product less than 70g/kg fibre. (Note the Canadian feed regulations have the IFNs for middlings and shorts reversed). 

Sun-cured lucerne is the aerial portion of the plant. According to the North American feed regulations the traded product has to be reasonably free of other crop plants, weeds and mould, and is sun-cured and finely ground. 

Vitamin D is available as D2 (ergocalciferol) and D3 (cholecalciferol). Poultry can utilize only the D3 form therefore, it is usual to supplement all feeds (where necessary) with the D3 form. Fish oil is allowed under the Canadian Feeds Regulations as a source of vitamins A and D.

The feeding section is coimected with the feeding box. By aid of the feed regulation system, situated at the feeding tube, a constant feed rate can be established. 

In this process, water and emulsifiers are first added to the reactor. Then a continuous stream containing the monomer mixture, initiator solution, and other auxiliary material is fed into the reaction vessel. Specific properties of the product can be adjusted by small changes in the solution such as, temperature, pH, and delay in addition of certain monomers [26]. Another advantage of this system is that the properties of the resulting dispersions remain constant from batch to batch when polymerization is performed under specified conditions. However, this process is more complex in terms of temperature control and feed regulation.
