Factors Affecting Electron Transfer at Diamond Electrodes

FACTORS AFFECTING ELECTRON TRANSFER AT DIAMOND ELECTRODES [Pg.212]

The surface termination has a strong influence on the electrode response for some redox systems, like Fe(CN)6 and ascorbic acid. The two surface terminations that have been investigated are hydrogen and oxygen. Cyclic voltammetric i-E curves are shown in Fig. 12 for 1 mM ascorbic acid in 0.1 M HCIO4 at an electrode before and after anodic polarization at different potentials. It can be seen that the Ep and ip values at the as-deposited, hydrogen-terminated film are 780 and 68 pA, [Pg.212]
