Exchange waiting time

Instantaneous combi The sanitary hot water is heated through a heat exchanger (i.e., coil or plate) that is heated directly by the burner. There will be a delay between the request and the answer in terms of waiting time. 

The time interval b is a measure of the self-cleaning ability of the machine. Clearly, b represents the length of time that must be waited in order to ensure that, in the event of a color or product change, the content of the extruder has been exchanged completely at least once. 

Periwinkles, snails with cone-shaped, whorled shells, are widespread in intertidal zones. The common periwinkle (Littorina littorea) browses on films of algae along the shore. When the tide is out, mucus produced by the snail s foot seals the animal to a rock or other solid substrate. The snail withdraws into its shell and closes its operculum to retain moisture, then waits until the tide returns. Unlike most marine snails, the common periwinkle can breathe for a short time out of water. Its mantle is rich in blood vessels and serves as a site for gas exchange with the air. 

The exchange times would be reduced, because the time waiting for the conveyer to reverse could be avoided. 

Figure 4 Shown here is the former die change method used on the 150-ton press, where die exchange time started at 15 min and clamp/unclamp time was 25 min. The total time to unclamp, wait for the fork truck, exchange die, and clamp averaged 49 min.
