The implementation is caused by environmental as well as economic reasons to reduce emissions of monomers and/or solvents.

BAT is to establish and maintain an equipment monitoring and maintenance (M M) and/or leak detection and repair (LDAR) programme (see Section 12.1.4) based on a component and service database in combination with the fngitive loss assessment and measnrement (see Section 12.1.3).
