EPI utilisation

Comparison of North America, Scandinavia and Europe for EPI utilisation... [Pg.13]

The leading country for EPI utilisation is Finland (80%), followed by Germany (73%) and France (72%). In three of the countries, Finland, France and the Netherlands, over half of the EPIs are in use by all the companies. [Pg.13]

There are some obvious limitations. At this point, marking of the EPIs is basically qualitative, in the sense that it does not take into account the level of detail supplied against any particular EPI. Also, with the wide range of stakeholders the relative importance of the individual EPIs utilised varies according to the interests and attitudes of the stakeholders looking at the CERs. [Pg.367]

Using Tables 7.3(a) to 7.3(d) comprising the master yes/no grid, it was also possible to construct a league table of EPI utilisation. This is presented in Table 7.5, and shows the extent to which EPIs are used in chemicals industry CERs. [Pg.367]

Fig. 24 (a, b) Chemo-enzymatic process for synthesis of tetrahydroxylated pyrrolizidines 1-epi-alexine, australine and 3-epi-australine utilising dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP), stereospecific aldol reaction catalysed by fructose-1.6-diphosphate aldolase (FDPA) and acid phosphatase (Pase) [149]... [Pg.95]

A selection of the EPIs, in particular the ones showing low utilisation, is reviewed. [Pg.14]

The chemicals CER leaders, identified by the ranking of utilisation of EPIs, should be commended for their efforts in providing comprehensive and credible information to a wide range of recipients. Flowever, the survey has highlighted the following shortcomings ... [Pg.20]

The key to evaluating the quality of environmental reporting lies in the selection of the appropriate EPIs. Those utilised in the analysis framework are mainly derived from the indicators most in use in existing CERs and leading guidelines, in particular those of the ACC A, the CEFIC and the UNEP. [Pg.112]

In this report an overall assessment of the CER is accomplished by determining the degree of utilisation of a wide range of EPIs using a simple yes or no rating. [Pg.112]

The extent to which the chemicals industry CERs utilise selected EPIs will now be reviewed. [Pg.371]

Ranking of chemicals CERs according to utilisation of EPIs... [Pg.372]

Table 7.6 Utilisation of selected EPIs within chemicals industry CERs, subdivided by region (% of companies using EPI within region)... [Pg.374]
