Mixing energy drinks such as Red Bull with alcohol has become increasingly popular among young people, who often believe that this combination will improve their stamina while partying or their physical performance more generally. Indeed, a popular drink today in a number of clubs is Red Bull and vodka. 

A small proportion of caffeine finds application in pharmaceuticals for the treatment of migraine, pain and fever. It is occasionally administered in combination with analgesics, since caffeine augments their activity. The cosmetics industry uses caffeine as a blood-circulation-enhancing agent for skin preparations. Caffeine is needed for the production of copier paper ( Diazopaper ). The lion s share however accounts for sodas and energy drinks (Coca-Cola , PepsiCola , Red BulP), but also a host of other caffeinated food products, which has already attracted the FDA s attention.

Powdered crude and/or extracts are used singly or in combination with other herbs in capsule, tablet, or liquid (syrup or drink) form as a general qi) tonic to improve energy, stamina, and resistance to stress and diseases hydro-alcohohc extracts also used to flavor instant soup mixes and herbal drinks because of their mushroom aroma (similar to shiitake).
