Enduring values

In recognition of the importance of preserving what has been written, it is a policy of John Wiley Sons, Inc., to have books of enduring value published in the United States printed on acid-free paper, and we exert our best efforts to that end. 

It is now possible to prepare and characterize ureases in a suitable state of homogeneity. The literature may soon reflect this opportunity to carry out investigations, both chemical and physical, of more enduring value.

Reasonably linear relationships were found on these papers when logarithms of the average MD (machine direction) and CD (cross direction) folding endurance values were plotted vs. incubation time. Statistical calculations for these data are listed in Table IV, and the Arrhenius graph is shown in Figure 3. 

The data for the JCPA-60 paper aged fourteen and twenty-one days show that for the 20% -80% relative humidity range, the paper was of low strength. However, the highest folding endurance values were between 50% and 60% relative humidity.

Each of these intangible benehts has value to every organization in the supply chain and although it may be difficult to place a dollar value of the beneht derived, it may ensure the enduring value.

In summary, safety culture is the enduring values and priority placed on workers and management by everyone within the organization. It refers to the extent to which individuals and groups will commit to personal responsibility for safety act to preserve, enhance, and communicate safety concerns strive to actively learn, adapt, and modify (both individuals and the organization) behavior based on lessons learned from mistakes and be rewarded in a manner consistent with these values. 

The folding strength is an important property of both packaging and graphic papers. The flexibility of buccal films is an important physical characteristic needed for easy application on the site of administration. This flexibility is measured quantitatively in terms of folding endurance and is determined by repeatedly folding the film at 180° angle of the plane at the same plane until it breaks or is folded to 300 times without breaking. The number of times the film is folded without breaking is computed as the folding endurance value.
