EMERGENCE OF CONCEPTS OF COMPOSITIONS AND STRUCTURES OF SOIL HUMIC COMPONENTS... 

This entire book is about the emergence, nature and cultivation of a new discipline, materials science and engineering. To draw together the strings of this story, it helps to be clear about what a scientific discipline actually is that, in turn, becomes clearer if one looks at the emergence of some earlier disciplines which have had more time to reach a condition of maturity. Comparisons can help in definition we can narrow a vague concept by examining what apparently diverse examples have in common. 

So, nearly half a century after the emergence of the concept, we its practitioners have in materials science and engineering a clearly distinct discipline which in practice doubles up as a multidiscipline, with a substantial number of independent academic departments and research institutes spread around the world, with its own multifarious journals and textbooks, and a large number of professionals, also spread around the world, who call themselves materials scientists and engineers and communicate with each other on that basis. We have a profession to be proud of. 

Students responses to the 15 items were analysed to identify any patterns of conceptions that could emerge in their use of the triplet relationship. In general, students in the alternative instractional programme displayed a high level of proficiency in the use of the triplet relationship though several student conceptions were evident despite the emphasis that was placed to facilitate their understanding of the triplet relationship. This outcome was not unexpected as student conceptions, by nature, are often resistant to instruction (Bodner, 1986).

A considerable effort has been emended in the past few years by many researchers in attempts to better understand the mechanism by which coal is liquefied. From this work has emerged the concept of short residence time coal liquefaction which promises potential process advantages, small reactor, minimum hydrogen flow, and the efficient utilization of hydrogen for a particular product slate. 

Therefore, HPLC has been evolved as a dire confluence of need, technological supremacy, the emergence of newer theoretical concepts and ideas towards development along rational lines, and above all- the human desire to minimise work . HPLC offers numerous advantages as stated below ...
