Economic factor of reduction for catalyst

The reducing process of catalyst is a key step to preparing and using catalyst. It is a non-productive process with endothermic and consuming H2 which impropriates production time. Therefore, it is related to the economic factors. The chemical reaction equation of reduction of Fe catalyst is  [Pg.774]

For Fe304-based catalyst such as AllO, A201and ICI 74-1 etc.  [Pg.774]

Theoretical amount of the H2 consumption is 364m (STP) H2/t and the theoretical yield of water is 292.5 kg/t. [Pg.774]

Besides, the reduction temperature is lower and the reduction rate is faster for the Fei xO-base catalyst than that for the Fc304-base catalyst, so the loss of heat during the reduction process and the reduction time would decrease. The economic factors during the reduction process for the plant with capacity of 1,0001 -d and catalyst volume of 65 m are listed in Table 9.17. [Pg.774]
