The most frequent difficulty in environmental toxicology is to demonstrate a true effect at very low concentrations of the substance. It is relatively easy to draw so-called dose-effect relationship for SO2 (Rondia, 1970), even if the ordinate of the effects is somewhat subjective and if mathematical artifice (log or probit transformation) has been used to make the relationship a nearly straight line. We meet no problem in the high concentrations zone we can drive experiments and repeat them showing that increasing concentrations of SO2, preferably associated with an inert aerosol (sodium chloride, haematite, etc—) results in correlated increases in lung or bronchial irritation (Amdur, 1968).

To investigate the potential correlation between driver drowsiness level and impedance response a set of experiments with five test subjects has been carried out in a simulated driving environment with room temperature (20 to 25 degrees Celcius). All participants are male with average age of 28 ( 3) years old. One participant is not in possession of driving license while the other four drive regularly and have 7 to 12 years of driving experience.

The upward shift of the M dimension, caused by the elevation in aminergic drive, makes descent into deep sleep impossible, just as amphetamines make falling asleep at all more difficult. Because subjects spend much more time in light sleep at or near waking levels, they naturally experience more dreaming and they are more aware of it because they awaken more often. 

Briggs and Shantz defined an upper limit of hygroscopic moisture which is determinable by experiment. If a soil is placed in a water-saturated atmosphere, it will absorb water vapor until a condition of approximate equilibrium is reached. The moisture content of a soil under these conditions is called the1 hygroscopic coefficient of that soil. Determination of the hygroscopic coefficient is subject to error unless carried out with considerable care.
