Drain current minimum

We would like to find the minimum drain current of the circuit shown below ... [Pg.535]

The dialog box is set up to find the worst case minimum value of the quantity l(RslgiJ13). This is the current through resistor Rsigma as well as the drain current of device Jl ... [Pg.537]

Run PSpice and then examine the output file. The results are stored at the bottom of the output file. The screen below tells us that the minimum drain current with the model jMAX is 7.1235 mA,... [Pg.537]

The results show that the minimum drain current is 5.6001 mA. [Pg.538]

From these two runs we determined that the minimum drain current occurs with the model jMIN and its value is 5.6001 mA. There is no general rule to determine whether the maximum or minimum model of the jFET will give you the maximum or minimum of the output variable. In general, you will have to make multiple runs to find the minimum and multiple runs to find the maximum. [Pg.538]

In most cases, however, the FET will saturate and operate over the major part of the charging cycle of the LCD as a current-limiting device. In this case, the transistor characteristics can no longer be specified by a minimum ON resistance. Rather we now need to specify the minimum source-drain current /SD. V(t) depends on /SD as... [Pg.124]

The DC characteristics of the organic transistors were measured in air prior to the application of the rnbber pressnre sensor lihn. The field-effect mobility is 1.4 cmWs in the saturation regime. The on/off ratio is 10 if the off current is defined as the minimum drain current at Vqs = h-40 V, while it is 10 if the off current is measured at Vqs = 0 V. The mobility of the present device is comparable to or slighdy larger than that of amorphous silicon ( 1.0 cmWs). [Pg.533]

Electrodeposition This method of paint application is basically a dipping process. The paint is water-based and is either an emulsion or a stabilised dispersion. The solids of the paint are usually very low and the viscosity lower than that used in conventional dipping. The workpiece is made one electrode, usually the cathode, in a d.c. circuit and the anode can be either the tank itself or suitably sized electrodes sited to give optimum coating conditions. The current is applied for a few minutes and after withdrawal and draining the article is rinsed with de-ionised water to remove the thin layer of dipped paint. The deposited film is firmly adherent and contains a minimum of water and can be stoved without any flash-off period. This process is used for metal fabrications, notably car bodies. Complete coverage of inaccessible areas can be achieved and the corrosion resistance of the coating is excellent (Fig. 14.1). [Pg.572]

The flip-flop circuit described previously is the basic digital counter and makes wide use of CMOS technology in applications such as digital watches where current drain must be held to a minimum. A quartz oscillator provides the basic clock whose pulses are repeatedly divided by two by a series of flip-flop circuits in order to count seconds, minutes, and hours. [Pg.424]
