Dosed molding

Processing aids for dosed-mold processes are sometimes the key additives that make a molded product both possible and profitable In injection molding particularly, melted resin must flow quickly from saew to mold, and parts must release from the mold quickly and cleanly. And these things must happen with compounds that may be highly filled, viscous when melted, or fast-shrinking when solidifying. [Pg.173]

Preclinical studies suggest mold-active azoles plus echinocandins have enhanced activity against Aspergillus A. terreus should be considered resistant to amphotericin B Activity of amphotericin B and voriconazole is decreased versus Aspergillus species higher doses or combination therapy may be indicated in more refractory cases... [Pg.1222]

Various dry powder attributes are assessed at release and on stability. These include physieal eharaeteristies sueh as appearance, content uniformity, delivered dose uniformity, and partiele size distribution. Chemieal attributes that may be assessed include drug eontent, purity, and identity, as well as the water content. Dry powders may also undergo mieroseopie evaluation for foreign particulate matter, unusual agglomeration, and partiele size. Mierobial limits should also be examined, including the total aerobie, yeast, and mold eounts. The presence of specific pathogens should be ruled out. The dry powders may be dissolved to test for pH. [Pg.111]

In addition, eertain eompendial requirements for content and delivered dose uniformity should be measured. The USP and EP propose that the total aerobic count not exceed 100 CFU/g (colony-forming imits) that the total yeast and mold counts not exceed 10 CFU/g and that no specific pathogens be detectable. Specifications for the other attributes should be based on the intended use and the historical performance of the product. As with other dosage forms, specifications must be met throughout the intended shelf life of the product. [Pg.111]

A special attribute of these processes is the ability to pre-position reinforcement, inserts, and core materials for stiffening ribs. Gel coatings can be applied to the mold surface to eliminate post-mold finishing. Because both surfaces of the part are formed in a mold to dose tolerances, accurate assemblies are possible, which is a requirement for many automotive or truck body applications. [Pg.95]

The repairs were performed on lower- and upper-wing skin assemblies and on a composite liquid hydrogen tank. On average, they took 50-70% of the time required for a normal thermal repair. The only process where EB carmot be used is resin transfer molding (RTM) because the electrons cannot penetrate the thick steel tooling required for it. The typical dose for this process was found to be 100 kGy. ... [Pg.241]
