Domain task force

The life sciences domain task force (LSR DTP) has several working groups architecture and road map, biochemical pathways, cheminformatics, gene expression, sequence analysis, and single nucleotide polymorphisms. 

The I3C has specificied a Uniform Resource Name syntax and semantics for a life-sciences identifier. Submissions of proposed implementations of these technologies were also made to the Life Sciences Research Domain Task Force at the OMG. A fuller table in the CESAR proposal considers all of the system engineering weaknesses for each domain. However, this paper is confined to the safety aspects of CESAR. In order to address these issues a safety and diagnosability task force has been established, whose objectives are outlined below. 

In some cases, for example when large residence times are desired, comparatively long microchannels have to be integrated into a compact microreaction device, a task that can only be achieved with curved channels. In addition to this, straight channels are often not suited for connecting a microflow domain to the external world. One of the first theoretical studies on flow in curved channels was done by Dean [32, 33], who investigated the secondary flow perpendicular to the main flow direction induced by inertial forces using a perturbative analysis. 

Logically, the only other option is to incorporate the environment into the theory. Thus, for example, a theory of physics learning would include task-specific terms like "forces" and "equations." Such theories blend psychology and the particulars of a task domain. In order to illustrate the notion of task-specific theories, let us examine some simple ones. The task of arithmetic calculation is fairly well understood. It divides cleanly into recall of arithmetic facts, such as 17-9=8, and execution of arithmetic algorithms, such as the algorithm for subtracting two multi digit numbers. We will consider a task-specific theory for recall and a task-specific theoiy for execution.
