DNA-labelling

Acrylonitrile is toxic at high dose in several organs, which is possibly related to its glutathione-depleting activity. This toxicity might lead to tmnour formation by an indirect mechanism, although no data to support this are evident from the available toxicity data, such as increased cell turnover or DNA labelling. [Pg.89]

Figure 2. A stable DNA-branched junction. The junction shown is composed of four strands of DNA, labeled with Arabic numerals arms are labeled with Roman numerals. The 3 end of each strand is indicated by the half-arrows. Each strand is paired with two other strands to form a double helical arm. There is no homologous twofold sequence symmetry flanking the central branch point, thereby stabilizing its position. Figure 2. A stable DNA-branched junction. The main advantage of using hybridisation indicators is that DNA-labelling procedures are avoided, but the weak point is that discrimination is not usually high enough and should be improved. [Pg.614]

Of all the possibilities for labeling, the first, DIG random-primed DNA labeling, is usually preferred because of its high yield. [Pg.75]
