Dimethylgly oxime

Because of the difficulties encountered in preparing starting materials, further data on the synthesis of these compounds are rare. Exceptionally, 3,4-dimethyl-furazan [630S(1V)342] and 3,4-dimethylfuroxan (1890CB3490, 80URP721430) were synthesized in a straightforward manner from commercially available dimethylgly oxime. [Pg.77]

Barlot and Medard (Refs 2 3) describe an analytical procedure for nickel nitrohydrazinate decompose the complex cautiously (to avoid an explosion) by means of coned H2S04 and determine Ni content by means of dimethylgly-oxime. Determine the hydrazine content by means of an iodate soln... [Pg.200]

D. Dimethylglyoxime.—The crude biacetyl monoxime, remaining after distilling to 90° and containing about 5 moles of biacetyl monoxime, is added to the sodium hydroxylamine monosulfonate solution (which has been filtered to remove any sediment) and which is contained in a 15-I. flask. It is heated to 70° and allowed to remain warm (with occasional stirring) for several hours (Note 9). The dimethylgly oxime separates in crystals which can be filtered from the solution as soon as it has become cold (Note 10). The crystals are washed with cold water until free of sulfate. The yield of compound melting at 238-240° is 540-575 g-... [Pg.24]

M An example of a selective reagent is AgN03. The only common ions that it precipitates from acidic solution are CE, Br, I . and SCN . Dimethylgly-oxime, which is discussed in Section 12C-3, is a specific reagent that precipitates only Ni-" " from alkaline solutions. [Pg.315]

E4.6 The intensities of the two sets of lines for the radical pair of dimethylgly-oxime in the spectra shown in E4.3 are approximately equal at 77 K. At what temperature range would it be possible to determine the sign of D by observing different intensities of the two sets in the ESR spectra at X and W band Assume that a difference in intensities of ca. 20% is sufficient for the sign assignment. [Pg.206]

Reagent Nickel dimethylglyoximate equilibrium solution is prepared by dissolving 2.3 g hydrated NiS04 in 300 ml water with 2.8 g dimethylgly-oxime dissolved in 300 ml ethanol. The suspension is allowed to stand for 30 minutes and then filtered. The filtrate, which constitutes the reagent solution, will keep for several weeks if stored in stoppered bottles. [Pg.77]
