Dignity of man

Before the fall, the heavenly Adam was the pure image of the divine Father, the Proto-Adam. After the fall, this image (Zelem Aelohim) had become darkened in Adam, and he himself became "Adam Belial" (fallen Adam). That is therefore the one in us, the Son of Man, who descended from heaven, who must again be exalted to his first dignity and then he should ascend to heaven. [Pg.117]

Though modest and retiring, Raoult s devotion to his work, dignity of character and sweemess of temper gained him many friends. He was not an ambitious man, but was content to work on, happy if his discoveries contributed to the advancement of science. [Pg.379]

He became a self-made success, rising from a humble background and never forgetting his roots. He never forgot to treat every individual and employee with the dignity and respect each is due. [Pg.41]

When he arrived at New Orleans in a heavy storm, the colonists gave him a respectful, but cold and somber, greeting (59). In his History of Louisiana, Albert Phelps explained He was cold, reserved, and proud, but the source of his dignity—his reputation as a man of learning and science—was all unknown to Louisiana, and therefore his assumption of authority, unsupported by any appearance, was taken to be mere... [Pg.411]

The public realized that this great man had lived through times where just dealing, dignity, honor, and decency were still common. A trial like the present was very difficult for him. Once again, Herrmann counted the denied pieces of evidence and asked, Who in this courtroom was not well served by the defense Then he confronted the State Attorney and said, The State Attorney will try to convince the accused that he knew that what he said was not true. Herr State Attorney, you do not sit in the back of the accused s head. ... [Pg.365]
