DuPont supply a dual sample pressure differential calorimetry cell suitable for use in their 9900 thermal analysis system. 

DuPont also supply a model 930 differential photocalorimeter in their 9900 Thermal Analysis system and Perkin Elmer supply the DSC-7 instrument. 

Thermal analysis of polymers was performed on DuPont Model 910 Differential Scanning Calorimeter and a Perkin Elmer Model TQS-2 Thermal Gravimetric Analyzer using a heating rate of 10°C/min. Both systems were interfaced to an Omnitherm Data Station for experiment control, and data acquisition and processing. 

Instrumental. All Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) runs were conducted on a Perkin-Elmer DSC-7 attached through a TAC-7 Thermal Analysis Controller to a DEC computer station 325c. All runs were conducted at 10°C/min. in N2 unless otherwise stated. Thermogravimetry was run on a Perkin Elmer TGA-7 attached through the same system as the DSC. Isothermal aging of samples in sealed capillaries were conducted in the DSC cell of a DuPont 9(X) Thermal Analyzer after temperature calibration. 

Differential scanning calorimetry and thermal mechanical analysis data were obtained on a DuPont 990 thermal analyzer coupled with a DuPont DSC or TMA cell. Isothermal aging studies were carried out with an automatic multisample apparatus, which allowed weight loss to be obtained in the aging environment. Thermal mechanical data for all the systems prepared are listed in Table I.
