Reliability Data Book for Components in Swedish Nuclear Power Plants Power, Nuclear 30,000-t recorded events Safety and commercial grade components, i.e. pumps, valves, diesels, filters, tanks, and heat exchangers from 4 nuclear and non nuclear power generating plants 70. 

All data recorded in the data base have been acquired from plant records. Statistical reductions of data for generation of reports or specific end use are available. Data are currently collected from four operating plants (eight units). Time clocks have been installed on components, to record actual exposure time. Event data are available on a broad variety of safety and commercial grade components including pumps, valves, transformers, diesels, filters, tanks (vessels), and heat exchangers. 

Many field tests are under way, or have been completed, to prove the performance of filter and converter systems. Buses fitted with diesel filters are being, or have been, tested in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Munich, Athens, Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Santiago, and other urban areas of the world. The microstructure of diesel filters not only affects physical properties like CTE, strength, and structural modulus, but it has a strong bearing on filter/catalyst interaction, which, in turn, affects the performance and durability of catalyzed filter. The coefficient of thermal expansion, strength, fatigue, and structural modulus of the diesel filter, which also depend on cell orientation and temperature, have a direct impact on its mechanical and thermal durability [21-25]. Finally, since all of the physical properties are affected by washcoat formulation, washcoat loading, and washcoat processing, they must be evaluated before and after the application of washcoat to assess filter durability.
