The given equations allow us to calculate the residual moisture concentration in the gas at the exit from a contact stage. This residual concentration should be taken as the initial condition for the calculation of the next contact stage. The dewpoint Td of the dewatered gas can be found either from the graphic dependence of Pt,G P (Pig- 20.8), or by solving Eq. (20.29) with respect to T. [Pg.657]

Since the action in the liquid state is regarded as most effective, the first condition for the window of hot corrosion is given by the melting and dewpoint of Na2S04. The melting point of 884°C does not vary much, the dewpoint depends on pressure, S-content of the fuel and NaCl-concentration in the atmosphere. For conditions with NaCl > 1 p.p.m. and combustion pressures of 100 bar it is calculated to be 1100-1200 CfromEq. (18). [Pg.159]

As the cloud is mixed with air, its temperature will rise to the dewpoint where the aerosols evaporate. The enthalpy of condensation will cease to contribute to the heat balance AH = 0 when the mixture becomes a homogeneous gas phase and density calculation becomes much simpler. Consider further the idealized case of adiabatic mixing in which the cloud receives heat from no other sources than the diluting air. The mixture enthalpy will then relate to the source enthalpy by AH = c AH, and inserting these simplifying conditions in the above equations, we obtain the following formula ... [Pg.409]
