Denitrification definition

In order to quantify the loss of fixed nitrogen via denitrification and anammox we definitely need more N2 concentration measurements and more formation rate measurements in suboxic zones such as found in the Arabian Sea and the eastern tropical Pacific Ocean. 

For all practical purposes of applying a definition, material manufactured to be biodegradable must relate to a specific disposal pathway such as composting, sewage treatment, denitrification, and anaerobic sludge treatment.
