Culture team presentation

A Safety Attitudes Questionnaire was administered to operating theatre staff before and after a simulation- based team training program, to assess the effectiveness of the program in changing the safety and teamwork culture. At present, insufficient data are currently available to allow statistically valid conclusions to be drawn. 

A culture of inquisitiveness was among the operating principles at several sites, and it was taught extensively in training and at team briefings where reasons were presented to improve the understanding of each procedure and its steps. ...

Spending the appropriate amount of time getting the senior executives to buy into the new culture is absolutely critical. And they won t get it through a speech or series of PowerPoint presentations. Labs present a special hazard for schools. They reqnire a comprehensive management approach and a cultural connnitment from aU levels to achieve a safe environment. Labs are an important educational setting. They are one of the best environments for students to become familiar with personal safety and how personal safety equates to the safety of the team.
