Credit scoring

Artificial neural networks are as common outside science as they are within it, particularly in financial applications, such as credit scoring and share selection. They have even been used in such eccentric (but, perhaps, financially rewarding) activities as trying to predict the box office success of motion pictures.1... 

Make sure your credit score is above 600 according to the EICO scale, one of the major credit bureaus that measure credit ratings. Nowadays, more often than not, career departments are requesting credit scores of applicants to ensure the candidate they are hiring is not overly in debt, which may equate to a higher potential risk of employee problems. 

Query for, obtain, and report the customer s credit score.

At the same time, it is worth noting that, after an initial period of experimentation and innovation, credit cards quickly became relatively stable monetary objects. Especially in their form, credit cards now still very much resemble credit cards then by contrast, the sophisticated behind-the-scenes technologies of credit scoring and profiling have become almost unrecognizable from their rudimentary antecedents. In this sense, the formal endurance and stability of this particular object needs to be explained. Is this simply a case of material lock-in Or is there something about this particular sociomaterial solution to the problems posed by the credit market that is as relevant now as it was then ... 

Directions Clearly show the methods used and steps involved in arriving at your answers. It is to your advantage to do this, because you may earn partial credit if you do, and you will receive little or no credit if you do not. Attention should be paid to significant figures. Be sure to write all your answers to the questions on the lined pages following each question the booklet. The Section II score weighting for this question is 20%. 

Most colleges will award credit for a score of 4 or 5. 

The scoring machine gives you credit for your answer no matter which columns you use. For example, all three of these grids would be scored correct for the answer 42 ... 

As you can see in the samples, there is space to write your answer in number form at the top of each grid above the ovals. However, grid-in questions are scored by machine, and the machines only read the ovals. SO YOU MUST FILL IN THE OVALS IN ORDER TO GET CREDIT You actually don t even need to hand-write the answer at the top. But it s usually a good idea to write your answer before filling in the ovals so that you don t make an error. 

Make sure you fill in the bubble sheet neatly. Otherwise, the scoring machine won t give you credit for your answers. 

For the past two decades, national and international participation in the AP Program has grown steadily. Colleges and universities routinely award credit for AP test scores of 3, 4, or 5, depending on the test taken. The following chart indicates the score required for AP credit, how many credits are granted, what courses are waived based on those credits, and other policy stipulations at more than 400 selective colleges and universities.

Haverford College (PA) 4-5 The registrar will award one course credit for an AP score of 5 and one-half course credit for a score of 4. No credit is awarded for scores under 4.
