The mechanical properties of this specification are almost exactly the properties of an early type of fiber made by Courtaulds, designated Type A, and very similar to a fiber type made by Rolls Royce. These fibers were very sensitive to surface treatment and were used in the untreated form with brittle resin systems like epoxy novalacs. [Pg.187]
