Cooperation over

Our especial thanks are due to the ladies of VCH Publishers, Mrs. Banerjea-Schulz, Dr. Dyllick and Mrs. Littmann for the way they have converted our ideas for the design and layout of this book into reality and for the pleasant cooperation over the past four years. [Pg.4]

The authors are very much indebted to Dr. I. Csoregh (University of Stockholm, Arrhenius Laboratory) for intensive and fruitful cooperation over many years and to Prof. P. Kierkegaard (Stockholm), and Prof. A. Kalman (Budapest) for their continous interest in and support of this research. The authors would also like to thank Dipl. Chem. M. Hecker and Dipl. Chem. W. Seichter for drawing the figures, and Mrs. M. Weber for the trouble with the typing of the manuscript. The work at Bonn was financially supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and the Fonds der Chemischen Industrie. [Pg.138]

In the period to 2010, it is anticipated that the emphasis will be toward the program areas of nuclear security, nuclear submarine dismantlement and the management of hazardous waste. The nuclear submarine dismantlement program is expected to be well advanced by 2010, and both technology gaps and infrastructure will have been largely addressed by this time. The areas of cooperation over the period to 2015, are expected to focus on environmental sustainability, safety and security of military activities. [Pg.116]

The results to be presented here could not have been achieved without the contributions of many co-workers and PhD students whose names are stated in the list of references. The senior author wants to thank all those who participated in the research described, especially Dr. H. Scheer (mass spectrometry) and Mr. H. Domnick (NMR spectroscopy). He gratefully acknowledges Prof. Dr. H. G. von Schnering and his research group for their fruitful and pleasant cooperation over many years. [Pg.267]

Since I submitted the book proposal to ASM International 16 months ago, I have had the privilege to work with many friends and colleagues on this venture. I would like to thank the chapter authors for their contributions and cooperation over the past year and for their confidence in me. I am grateful to Keith Newman for his help with reviewing the manuscripts and for his many valuable and constructive comments. [Pg.302]

The early and mid 1880 s were characterised by lack of success. Eventually, in November 1887, an experienced research chemist joined the main laboratory of BASF. He was August Bemthsen/ then assistant professor at the University of Heidelberg and since 1882 in close contact with Caro. They had already cooperated over methylene blue, and Bemthsen was successful in both determining the structure of this important dyestuff and providing BASF with an alternative synthetic path wav. [Pg.254]
