14 Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 (as amended) 

Using chemicals and other hazardous substances at work can put peoples health at risk. So the law requires employers to control exposure to hazardous substances to prevent ill health. Effects from hazardous substances include  

COSHH sets out eight basic measures that employers and employees must take to comply with the Regulations. 

Assess the risks to health arising from hazardous substances present in their workplace. 

Decide the precautions needed to avoid exposing employees to hazardous substances.
