Construction quality assurance costs

The IPWR is amenable to shortened constmction schedules because the RPV and internal components can be shop-fabricated, pre-assembled and tested under optimum conditions. In particular, the IPWR configuration eliminates the need for difficult on-site welding work on the primary system. This feature leads to improved quality assurance and reduced construction costs. 

The implementation phase (5) is crucial to costs and on time commissioning of technical building equipment and the whole building. In this phase such fire safety services as construction supervision, quality assurance (51-53) and fire safety engineering methods (52-62) can dramatically reduce construction costs, enables the flexible use of the building and ensure the realization of planed life and fire safety. 

Over the last 20 years, an effort has been made to reform the quality assurance system. In the past, primary importance was given to the control of the quality of the final product and of services at the interfaces during the construction process. Current quality assurance focuses more on process control during production. In this respect, quality assurance means quality management of processes and is directed as much toward the internal organization of each participant and to the interfaces between them. The purpose of this change is the reduction of faUure cost due to deficiencies in the project. 

Cost Costs were estimated at 4.5 million, which includes soil importation, revegetation, quality control and assurance, construction management, and installation and operation of moisture monitoring systems.
