In April 1982, a data workshop was held to evaluate, discuss, and critique data in order to establish a consensus generic data set for the USNRC-RES National Reliability Evaluation Program (NREP). The data set contains component failure rates and probability estimates for loss of coolant accidents, transients, loss of offsite power events, and human errors that could be applied consistently across the nuclear power industry as screening values for initial identification of dominant accident sequences in PRAs. This data set was used in the development of guidance documents for the performance of PRAs. 

The way in which to define the parameters of a program would ideally be the democratic one, involving everyone who is directly associated with it. In many a situation this may unfortunately be a practical impossibility due to factors such as the predominance of the sponsors interests and/or the size of the organization. Furthermore, people who have limited knowledge of mentoring options may make achieving consensus difficult. Therefore, in trying to define the parameters for your scheme (or schemes) you should ... 

In 2005, a comprehensive comparison of LCIA toxicity characterization models was initiated by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) in their life cycle initiative. The main objectives of this effort were to [9] (1) identify specific sources of differences between the models results and structure (2) detect the indispensable model components and (3) build a scientific consensus model from them, representing recommended practice. 

Subsequent to the Council meeting, discussions have continued, both within this country and Informally at a number of OECD meetings, to attempt to resolve the present U.S. opposition to the earlier draft Decision. Attention recently has focused upon a draft "interpretive statement" to be added to the original draft MPD Decision, which would make it clear that enactment of the Decision in no way would bind the U.S. to amend TSCA or otherwise incorporate MPD into the U.S. PMN program. However, no consensus has been reached to date.

Caspases are a family of evolutionary conserved cysteine proteases that cleave their substrates after an aspartic acid residue within a defined consensus sequence (Alnemri et al, 1996).
