Cone mixer

Charge into a double-cone mixer the mixture from step 3 and add azithromycin and flavors. Mix for 15 minutes.

Still another mixing device can be used in explosives industry- It is the tumbling mixer which, accdg to Perry (Ref 7, pi212), exists in three varieties a) " tumbling barrel or "ball mill (Ref 7, Fig 32) b) "double-cone mixer (Fig 33) and c)... 

The cone mixer has been used almost universally in the production of nongranular TSP. Because the set time for TSP is only 14-20 min, as compared with 40-50 min for SSP, a simple, cupped conveyor belt usually is used to hold the acidulate until the TSP solidifies this is instead of the slat-type den used for SSP. With a belt about 1.5 m wide and 30 m long, the production rate usually is 40-50 tons/hr. A flow diagram for TSP production by the cone mixer- wet-belt system is shown in Fig. 24.11.

Two tumbling mixers (e.g., double cone mixer and V-cone mixer). Two batches of differently colored ballotini beads with a size range 0.8-1.2 mm each and the same density. 

A very useful reactor assembly for pilot-scale polymerization of lactide and glycolide polymers and copolymers is an 8-CV mixer from Design Integrated Technologies (DIT) of Warrington, Virginia. The 8-CV is a dual cone mixer (8 qt. capacity) equipped with double helical mixer blades, a gas inlet line, and a large vacuum port.
