Components for modelling the objective function

To evaluate the operational effort for realizing transports and keeping stocks, three types of costs have to be considered  

Transport costs reflect the monetary effort to be laced when trains are dispatched, i.e. a rail operator performs a transport service. Therefore, cost rate accounts for the charge 

The turnover cost rate cj comprises direct costs for unloading and loading RTCs. This cost rate refiects labour costs for shunting, unloading/loading, and supervision activities.
