Competency and Resource Management

A safety case is only as good as the individuals who constructed it. Any doubt in the reader s mind about the competency of its contributors is likely to undermine its conclusions. 

There is merit in proactively seeking to demonstrate competency through the use of either a Curriculum Vitae repository or more formal skill mapping. 

Ensuring that the clinical risk management team is competent to perform then-role is a key function of senior management. 

Demonstrating competency is a key requirements of some risk management standards.
