Commented examples of technical specifications

This section presents some examples of Technical Specifications extracted from various tender documents and a variety of projects, following the structure of the Manual. It is not the intention to be complete or to provide standard Specifications, but meant to serve as guidance for subjects to be considered in dredging and reclamation projects. Only those subjects relevant within the context of this Manual will be dealt with and back referenced. Special attention is paid to subjects often leading to discussions. 

Example Specifications are shown in italic text. These examples can be used as a guideline for the setup of specifications. 

Where deemed necessary the example Specifications have been commented. Examples of inappropriate Specifications are also shown in italic text, but presented in a white textbox. The comments as to why these specifications are to be avoided are added below these textboxes. 

Comments on specific topics are presented in a shaded textbox.
