Transformations coding

Our efforts to write new transforms have increased substantially in the past year with the addition of to our group of a synthetic chemist, Dr. Dale Hoff, who can both summarize reactions and code transforms. The current Merck SECS data base contains over 500 transforms. 

The technique proposed in Cheynet (2000) introduces several code transformations to modify the original program code. Rules are applied in order to duplicate all variables and operations among them. By doing so, this technique replicates the whole data path by software. With a duplicated data path, Cheynet (2000) adds instructions to the code to compare the values stored in the variables and jump to a subroutine in case of mismatch The comparisorts happen every time a variable is read.

The real world test parameters discussed above have been incorporated into the fire hazard assessment model used by UL (Webber 1983) to determine the compliance of transformer fluids with section 450.23 of the National Electrical Code. In order to be compliant with the code, transformers insulated with less-flammable liquids are permitted to be installed without a vault in Type I and Type II buildings of approved noncombustible materials in areas in which no combustible materials are stored, provided there is a liquid confinement area, the liquid has a fire point of not less than 300 C and the installation complies with all restrictions provided for in the listing of the liquid. UL has identified the need for pressure relief devices and current limiting fusing to limit the effect of possible high current arcing faults. 

The transformation specification is an OCL contrad that consists of a name, a set of parameters, a precondition and postconditions. The precondition states relations between the metaclasses of the source metamodel. The postconditions deal with the state of the models after the transformation. Next, a model-to-code transformation between an ISM-Java and a PSM-Java is partially specified.

Both (3) and (4) always give 1 bits on the bit plane n - This is very good for compressing real data becanse the probability of 1 bit in ICRs is 1, and the probabihty of 0 bit in ICRs is 0. This fact plays an important role in optimizing the probability of a data bit in ECRs.
