Cl-containing compounds

Si-H containing functional initiators have been obtained by reduction with LAH of the corresponding Si-Cl containing compounds. Conditions have been developed under which the benzylic chloride remains unchanged while the Si-Cl bond is converted to Si-H (for experimental details see Sect. H.C.). The initiators obtained are shown in Table 1. 

Ir(Cl)6(H)2] can be prepared via the electrochemical dissolution of powdered iridium in HC1. The rate of dissolution was studied as a function of current density, HC1 solution concentration, temperature, and as a function of the number of bipolar electrodes.614 The first Cl-containing compound of iridium(V) has been isolated from reaction between [Ir(Cl)6]2 and BrF3 in liquid HF giving [Ir(Cl)6 (F) ] (n = 1-6). The deep red Cs[Ir(Cl)(F)5] has been characterized by IR and Raman spectroscopy.615... 

Destmctive reaction of Cl-containing compounds with transition metal oxides supported on MgO or CaO has been smdied (12-14). The order of activity found for transition metals (V > Mn > Co > Fe > Ti > ) is similar to that for typical oxidation reactions. Another interesting finding by the same group was that the transition metals catalyze the exchange reaction between chloride and oxide ions (14). An intermediate metal chloride such as VClx may migrate over the MgO nanocrystal to assist the exchange of Cl with O. ... 

Related examples of silicon-containing titanocycles have also been prepared (282). These compounds are air-stable and not decomposed by methanol. When CpCpWiClOAr reacts with Grignard reagents, the aryloxy group is replaced by R, not by Cl (283). Compounds of the formula (Cp2TiR)20 prepared from (CP2TiCl)20 + RLi, where Ris CH, C2H, CgH, y)-tolyl, CgH CM2, or CH2=CH, are thermally stable and quite stable to air (283,284). 

When three or more different elements occur in a compound, the order depends on whether or not the compound contains ions. We describe ionic compounds in Section 34. Many multiple-element compounds that do not contain ions contain carbon. The formulas of carbon-containing compounds start with carbon, followed by hydrogen. After that, any other elements appear in alphabetical order, as illustrated by the following examples C2 He O, C4 H5 BrO, CH3 Cl, and Cg Hio N4 O2.

Another classification is based on the analytes that occur in gas or liquid phases. The CL gas sensors are applied to the analysis of compounds in gases or vapors, such as 02, 03, NO, N02, chloride, ammonia-containing compounds...

Repeated analyses of the clone for which data are shown in Figure 5 have confirmed that extracts of the organism do not contain compounds 1, 1, or The extracts do contain and but at levels below the TLC detection limits in the run shown. Trace epimerization of toxin C2, probably during application, resulted in the small spots at the Rf of Cl around fraction 50.
