Chymodiactin - Chymopapain

Chymodiactin chymopapain, chymopapain [ban, inn, usan) (NSC 107079 BAX 1526 Chymodiactin ) is an ENZYME (MW c. 27,000) isolated from Carica papaya (papaya). It is a proteolytic enzyme, used by injections into vertebral discs to treat sciatica and lumbar pain (herniated lumbar discs). [Pg.76]
