Fluorspar. CaF2 m.p. 1420 C sp. gr. 3.1. The largest deposits of this mineral are in Mexico, China, USA and USSR, but it is also worked in England and most other European countries. It is used as an opacifier in glass and vitreous enamel. Fluorspar crucibles have been used in the melting of uranium for nuclear engineering. 

China s first fast reactor CEFR was constmcted by CIAE in cooperafion with the Beijing Institute of Nuclear Engineering. During the design of CEFR, approximately 50 tests for design verifications were conducted to confirm the performance and obtain the operation experiences.

Y. S. Tang. Ph.D has more than 35 years of experience in the field of thermal and fluid flow. His research interests have covered aspects of thermal hydraulics that are related to conventional and nonconventional power generation systems, with an emphasis on nuclear reactor design and analysis that focuses on liquld-meta -cooled reactors. Dr. Tang is co-author of Radioactive Waste Management published by Taylor 8 Francis, and Thermal Analysis of Liquid Metal Fast Breeder Reactors, He received a B5. from National Central University In China and an MS. in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He earned his Ph.D. 

In December 2006, Westinghouse, a major maker of nuclear power plants (and owned by Toshiba in Japan), announced a multi-billion dollar deal to sell four new nuclear plants to China. The deal, worth about 5 billion, includes work to be performed by U.S. engineering giant Shaw Group, Inc. AREVA Group also has a deal with China for two reactors and approximately 20 years worth of atomic fuel. Thanks to the nuclear efforts in China and other countries in the Far East, more than 20,000 megawatts of nuclear capacity have come online globally since 2000. 

The building construction and installation are contracted by the Engineering Company No.23 of the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) The excavation ground was completed in the end of 1994, the constraction of the HTR-10 was formally started in June 1995, the basement of the reactor building was poured in September 1995.
