Children levetiracetam

Depression has been described in both elderly epileptic patients [191 ] and a child with epilepsy [192 ], probably caused by levetiracetam. 

Hematologic Thrombocytopenia has been reported in a child [194 ] and an adult with epilepsy [195during treatment with levetiracetam, in one case requiring blood transfusion. The adverse effect occurred within days or weeks and quickly resolved after withdrawal.

Skin A 2-year-old girl with a complicated medical history developed SJS 9 days after starting levetiracetam. She had previously developed a rash to oxcarbazepine. This is the first report of levetiracetam-induced SJS in a child [105 ].
