Note there is no RTloge term in the expression for /x for solids and liquids. 

This is a very different situation from the solid or liquid case, and if non-identity is neglected 

For a mixture of gases, a corresponding equation will hold for each constituent gas  

There is no explicit thermodynamic derivation of the expression for the chemical potential of a solute in solution. However, experimentally it is found that the expression for the emf of a reversible cell has an nRT loge term in it.
