Chemical Market Research Association

ECMRA. See European Chemical Marketing Research Association. [Pg.351]

Market research in the U.S. chemical industry began to be formalized as early as 1940. In 1945, the Chemical Market Research Association (CMRA) was formed with 75 members. In mid-1965, it was renamed and became the Chemical Marketing Research Association to reflect the broadened function of its members. In 1990, the CMRA was again renamed and is now the Chemical Management and Resources Association and has about 1000 members. [Pg.535]

In West Europe, a similar pattern of evolution began ia the 1960s with informal meetings and was formalized ia 1967 when the European Chemical Marketing Research Association (ECMRA) became a division of the European Association for Industrial Marketing (EVAE). EVAE was later renamed the Eederation of European Marketing Research Association (EEMRA) and has about 500 members of which about 300 are ECMRA members. [Pg.536]

In Asia, the Asian Chemical Marketing Research Association (ACMRA) was organized ia 1987 and has about 30 members as of this writing. [Pg.536]

We are the official depository for publications of the Chemical Market Research Association and the Commercial Chemical Development Association. Inasmuch as many of these meeting papers are not published in periodicals, the two sets of proceedings form a valuable and interesting addition to our library. An up-to-date author and subject index is maintained by the library, so the material is of practical service to chemical market readers and to members of industrial market research departments. [Pg.282]

Stewart, A. C. address at Chemical Marketing Research Association, May 1972, New York Chem. Marketing Reporter 1972, 201(19). [Pg.697]

Organized market research groups in the chemical industry are probably less than 25 years old. It is difficult to set an exact date when the first separate market research division was formed, but the Chemical Market Research Association, probably the first organization of professional market researchers in the chemical industry, held its first meeting as recently as June 8, 1945. The initial membership was 78 people. From this, we may infer that few people in the chemical industry concerned themselves exclusively with chemical market research in the 1930 s. [Pg.78]
